Reverend Arthen

Rev. Inanna Arthen, M.Div, began preaching in UU churches as a guest speaker in 1994 and served on the Ministry Team for the First Parish UU of Ashby, MA from 1994-1995. This experience led to three years at Harvard Divinity School and the awarding of an M.Div degree in 1998. Inanna’s extensive background in spiritual and social service includes ten years with the Boston-based EarthSpirit Community, for which they served on the Board of Directors and the Council of Elders, and ten years as a residential counselor and Team Leader in a domestic violence shelter, which included training and certification in crisis counseling, mental health and substance abuse intervention. They served as the minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Winchendon from 2013 to 2019.

Raised as a UU, Inanna follows an earth-centered spiritual path and is
ordained clergy of the Society of Elder Faiths, as well as a member of
Covenant of the Goddess and the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist
Pagans (CUUPS). A strong advocate for the LGBTQI community, Inanna identifies as non-binary genderfluid/genderqueer and is a member of TRUUsT. Inanna is a Candidate for UU Fellowship, a member of the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association and serves as the Administrator for the Unitarian Universalist Society for Community Ministries.
